SITU Agent runs entirely on the user's local machine. It has no backend, no telemetry, and no accounts. The project does not receive any code, prompts, or session data.
situagent.com uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-JCHWSGSQG0) to measure aggregate visitor behavior — pageviews, outbound link clicks (notably to the GitHub repository), knowledge-base navigation, and scroll depth on the homepage. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to recognize returning sessions; visitor IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage. No personally identifiable information is intentionally collected. The data processor is Google Ireland Limited; default event-data retention is 14 months.

Alternatively, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or block third-party scripts in the browser. Standard server logs (IP, timestamp, requested URL) may also be retained briefly by the hosting provider for security and operations.
